Is there a way to fingerprint a surfer?

Unread post by yair@topishare.com » 21 Mar 2016, 13:17

I'm using a Yii 1 based system

I'm interested to let guests to vote, but only once per item.

For that I need to somehow identify the surfer machine, a fingerprints something like https://github.com/Valve/fingerprintjs2

Is there any support for that in cleantalk?

Thanks

Yair

Hi Yair,

Thank you for the great question!

No, we don't use browser fingerprints to identify spam bots. Any way, CleanTalk has database of spam patterns (in nicknames, logins, emails) to identify spam bots. So, let's give it a change to protect your project,

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks.
