Blocking contact form data from ActiveCampaign

Unread post by RealWorldInfluence » 15 Apr 2017, 20:18

I am using an optin form created by the Bloom plugin to integrate with ActiveCampaign. When someone fills out and submits the form on http://www.realworldinfluence.com, it sends the info to ActiveCampaign, which then sends them a subscription confirmation email. Once they click the link in that email, ActiveCampaign launches an automation with a webhook that sends the information to WordPress on my site to create a new user and assign them a password.

CleanTalk seems to allow a user to fill out the form and all goes well until the webhook in the ActiveCampaign automation tries to post contact data to my website to create a user and password. It seems that CleanTalk is blocking those requests. Therefore, no users are created on my website.

I have the option to "Check all post data" turned off.

I was just about to make a payment for my yearly subscription to CleanTalk when I discovered this problem during testing. This is the one thing keeping me from launching my website. Please tell me there is a way to fix this globally.

Thanks in advance!

Hello.

Thank you for your request.

We need to whitelist IP-addresses and subnets of ActiveCampaign. Usually companies tell their network location on their website, but I can't find any for ActiveCampaign: http://www.activecampaign.com/

There will be no problems when we whitelist them. If you know their IP's, please tell us about it and check them here in our database: https://cleantalk.org/blacklists

Your personal black&white lists will work too: https://cleantalk.org/help/blacklist-usage But it would be better if we do it in our servers globally for all our customers.

I hope that was helpful. Write back anytime.

Best regards.

I spoke with ActiveCampaign tech support, and they gave me the following IP addresses for you to whitelist:

67.228.34.32/27 (67.228.34.32 – 67.228.34.63)
173.236.20.0/24 (173.236.20.2 – 173.236.20.254)
108.178.6.0/24 (108.178.6.2 – 108.178.6.254)
192.92.97.0/24 (192.92.97.2 – 192.92.97.254)

They also asked that you contact them via email at help@activecampaign.com for any further assistance.

When can you whitelist these globally?

I have just noticed that in my CleanTalk log, all of the "Contact Form Data Denied" listings have this same API comment:

*** Forbidden. Please enable JavaScript. ***

This is what seems to be affecting my site in terms of not creating or updating users. What do I need to do to fix this?

In the meantime, you can try to add these IPS to your personal whitelist. This guide could be helpfull for you:
